The University of Zurich wants to maintain a state-of-the-art and leading campus in the years to come. To assure this, we, together with the University of Zurich’s stakeholders, performed a holistic analysis of the site conditions including internal and external influences. This encompassed the physical condition and current usage of the existing buildings, identification of defined and contemplated user requirements as well as an overview and vision for the public and private transport situation. The result showed the development potential of the existing campus, a phasing concept for further construction, a renovation strategy and possible solutions to implementing the comprehensive demands of the University of Zurich. The report allowed the university as well as the political and communal panels to define the next steps in the site development.
