Two adjacent buildings in the center of the Zurich Seefeld district were renovated and combined to house a branch of the Swiss National Bank. One of the central elements was the new core linking the two buildings. To enable partial operation during construction, the work had to be divided into two phases and meticulously coordinated with the daily business. Special challenges were imposed by the existing structure of the building and the high security requirements of the bank. As sub-planner to Ernst Basler & Partner AG we headed the controlling team consisting of engineers and architects and organized workshops to identify and manage project risks. |
