The Leibstadt nuclear power plant (KKL) is undergoing renovation to meet the new compliance standards required to allow operation until the year 2045. All works outside the nuclear core zone were grouped into the project PROBAT. These included the construction of modern office spaces, storage facilities, workshops, a security hub, site access and a new restaurant.

With the construction of the new office and restaurant building, the old underground parking garage had to be demolished. To replace it, an open parking structure based on a modular concept was planned and built by a total contractor. Compared to conventional parking garages, this modular concept allows for rapid erection, low construction costs and a minimum of interfaces with ongoing works on site.

We managed the entire process for the client starting with the evaluation of various construction models and ending with the hand-over of the completed works.
